PÅL BERG

Pål is a huge addition to our family. He brings two essences that have always been the core of our philosophy. First, the love of the outdoors and the curiosity to dig deeper into our complex world. And secondly, a totally different mindset and background. This fits in beautifully and has always been our way of being stronger and better prepared for the future. Have fun Pål.

We just have to get it out there: Pål is a WiMP!

Ha-Ha! (He’ll hate that.) And you may wonder how we can pedal back from there? But behind every strong man is an even stronger woman coming to his rescue when needed. And who better to call upon than Beyoncé, Madonna, and Rihanna?

To cut to the core: Pål was part of the Norwegian music-streaming story, WiMP, later Tidal. He brings an international, low-margin, marketing-driven background to Ousland Colliard, an industry rewriting its own chapters every day.

Rumor has it that Pål was born (in the region of 1972) and has attended school(s), but all his focus was on the outdoors. From an early age, he joined the Norwegian Scouts as a way into the wilderness and the learning that comes with it. That has continued till today as he now teaches the elder scouts winter survival and safety.

To fill in between, he also turned into a very strong cross-country skier and an accomplished technical trainer.

As if that was not enough, away from the prepared tracks, hunting and sled trips kept taking up more and more time. Until he came knocking one day.

Note: As his physicality, mentality, and appearance show a man in his prime, we very much want to emphasize that, YES, he has even found time to grow a family with a wife and two kids. A very important part of exploration is harmony.

PÅL'S SECRET ADVICE:

"FIND YOUR RHYTHM AND THE KILOMETRES PLAY THEMSELVES. A GOOD DAY ON SKIS IS JUST A GOOD SONG ON REPEAT."
