Sindre Rødsten Sivertsen
Sindre Rødsten Sivertsen is a polar guide and certified Arctic Nature Guide, passionate about the great Arctic wilderness for many years. He combines hands-on field expertise with deep reflection on sustainable tourism, a subject he explored in depth through his university research on the role of the nature guide in Svalbard. For him, guiding in the Arctic isn't just about technical skill, but about passing on a profound respect for nature and the culture of "friluftsliv" the Norwegian way of outdoor life.

Born and raised in Trondheim, Norway
A classic Norwegian upbringing with parents that loved the mountains. Slept in a sled for the first time at 8 months old (remember, this was the 80s). From there the curiosity for the wild and the untouched grew. By adolescence the lure of the dark-blue veil beyond the bonfire beckoned and the search for raw and uncut experiences begun.
After some years in the army, where he went through NCO school, the path led eventually to an academic approach to “Friluftsliv”, a term for Norway’s outdoor life phenomenon.
Sindre holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in outdoor life, specializing in nature-based tourism and nature guiding. He also took Practical Pedagogic Education making him a certified teacher and lecturer on nature, outdoor life and nature guiding.
Sindre started as a guide in Ousland Colliard Explorers guiding Greenland, Northwest Passage and Svalbard before taking the helm as general manager in late 2023.
