There is something about the big white. For many of us it starts as a challenge — and ends in a love story, an addiction.

Few places on our globe are more pristine. Harsher. Purer — when it comes to taking on Mother Nature.

 

But it is also a place to learn, to find out about yourself, to discover that there are techniques for tackling and solving the surprises and the downright problems. A big white plain gives nothing for free, but it helps open you up.

 

We have four decades of polar history behind us, and we only grow more intrigued — and more humbled — that we are still allowed to be out there.

 

We try our best not to be a guide company as such. We are a team of experienced, polar-minded outdoor adventurers and enthusiasts. Working to Børge Ousland and Vincent Colliard's standards, we provide expertise, guidance and coaching. We team up with you personally, or in small teams, to face wonderful challenges in what we think are the most amazing places on the planet.

 

The philosophy is straightforward:

• Follow the Norwegian polar approach of thorough preparation. As we say: "80% of the project should be completed before leaving home."

• Once in the field, together we work to constantly sharpen our skills and execute the expedition to the best of our abilities.

• By following this method we don't just learn and grow — we gain real satisfaction and give ourselves the best chance of reaching our shared goal.

• We love teams of mixed genders, ages and nationalities. We believe that is the best way to take the competition out of it and make it easier to focus on the moment. Learning respect and teamwork, drawing out the hidden strengths in everyone — that matters not only for landing big challenges, but in life.

• When you have trained and prepared to the very best of your ability, we want you to turn your focus around and start asking: "What can I bring to the trip?"

 

This is important. We do not look upon the trips as ours. They are yours. Our guides are your teammates. You are encouraged to play whatever part you want, and the hope is that next time out you'll reach a new chapter, a new level.
